At 9:58 a.m. on January 24, 2026, the launching ceremony of the 436TEU coastal open-top container vessel built by Jiangxi Pi Ship Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Pi Ship Technology") for Shanghai Qiangge Shipping Co., Ltd. was grandly held by the lower Chaohu Lake. Leaders and guests including Chang Weijian, Chairman of Shanghai Qiangge Shipping Co., Ltd., Bi Jiwei, General Manager, Chang Jie, Financial Manager, Huang Lan, Chairman of Xinjiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., and Yang Liu, Deputy General Manager of Xinjiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and Executive Deputy General Manager of Pi Ship Technology, gathered at the scene to witness this important moment together.

It is reported that the 436TEU coastal open-top container vessel features superior performance and exquisite design, with an overall length of 105.6 meters, a molded breadth of 18.8 meters, a molded depth of 8.6 meters and a designed draft of 5.35 meters. Adopting an optimized design of twin sterns and vertical stem, the vessel is equipped with a twin-engine and twin-screw propulsion system and two 1000 kW diesel engines. It stably achieves the designed speed of 12 knots and reduces fuel consumption by 8% compared with traditional vessels of the same class, realizing a precise balance between operational efficiency and environmental protection and fully demonstrating the advantages of low-carbon shipping.

Since the start of construction on July 10, 2025, Pi Ship Technology has focused on technological innovation and process upgrading, and applied the advanced construction mode of "block prefabrication + modular assembly". It not only strictly controlled the hull construction accuracy within 2 millimeters, but also completed the berth erection 12 days ahead of schedule.
