On April 30, 2025, the 3490DWT stainless steel chemical tanker (NJZ1116) constructed by Jiangxi Xinjiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. was successfully signed and delivered in Zhoushan City. Classified by CCS, this IMO Type II chemical tanker has a deadweight of approximately 3490 tons and an overall length of 97.10 meters. Its smooth delivery marks that Xinjiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry has established a mature chemical tanker construction technology system and design team, gained market recognition, and successfully entered the high-end chemical tanker construction field.
As the first high-end ship delivered since Xinjiangzhou's establishment, the vessel adopted the integrated construction technology of stainless steel tank wall sections and deck sections for the first time during the design and construction phase. Fully considering the demand for loading special chemicals such as phenol, it can carry the entire range of liquid cargo without causing adverse reactions to the hull. During construction, robotic welding was applied to planar structures, resulting in 30% savings in labor, energy, and welding materials, and an 80% increase in efficiency—achieving "three reductions and one increase" and serving as a benchmark demonstration project for Xinjiangzhou's intelligent transformation. During sea trials, the ship's speed and fuel consumption under the same power condition were better than the designed indicators. Its unique inclined bow and streamlined bulbous bow design not only meet the requirements for international navigation (A1+A2+A3) but also for domestic coastal navigation areas and the Yangtze River Class A and B navigation areas.
Adhering to the long-term goal of "building specialized and refined ships, establishing distinctive and high-quality shipyards," Xinjiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry leverages the market influence of its two major shareholders—Yangzijiang Financial Holdings and Qinshi Group. With the business strategy of basing itself on liquid cargo ships, deeply cultivating multi-purpose ships, and expanding into small offshore engineering and new energy ships, it adheres to the production and management philosophy of "quality first, delivery paramount." Through strict control over production design, quality, and safety, and with the strong support and cooperation of shipowners and classification societies, the company has completed the delivery of the ship with high quality and efficiency. We believe that as a pacesetter in Ruichang City's efforts to build a coastal advanced manufacturing base, Xinjiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry will surely make due contributions to revitalizing Jiujiang's shipbuilding industry.
